Every year on this day, friends text me, leave messages on my fb wall and celebrate this day with me. This year was no different. There are always those darlins’ who wish me through every medium possible, whether it be on fb, twitter, sms etc., there are also (sadly) friends whom I’ve not spoken to the last century who wish me nonetheless with a simple greeting or so and there are always a few unexpected surprises.

People always say the sincerity of a person depends on the mode of communication they use to wish you happy birthday, with writing on fb walls being the least sincere haha. But I beg to differ. I am thankful for every single friend or family member who has filled this day with love. Whether it may be a lengthy text or a simple ‘happy birthday’, I am entirely grateful! :)

So, to everyone who cared, I thank you from the bottom of my heart <3

I was bored and decided to come up with a list of my top 5 pet peeves hehe just for fun:

1. When people chew with their mouth open.

2. When people type your instead of you’re.

3. When people don’t reply urgent texts.

4. When girls read 9gag or watch soccer just to be able to communicate with guys.

5. When you can see the panty line of girls wearing tight fitting skirts :/

Some things I can never understand:

1. Why is it so hard to reply either a yes or no to a simple question such as “shall we have lunch together tmw?”

2. Do people not know that it is very rude to blatantly ignore someone’s question in a group chat, and immediately respond to another person when they bring up another question?

3. How can anyone be so childish, dependent on others and try to shun every responsibility given to them?

I know I’m being judgemental by wondering all these things. But really, I guess I just needed a place to rant.

I really don’t know if they know the url of my blog or if they will ever see this, but personally, I hope they do as it’s time for someone to step up to tell them that whatever they’re doing is definitely not providing spiritual support, but rather, acting as a stumbling block to others.

Bintan 2011 

It’s been awhile since I blogged about my life, so I shall just share abit about my Bintan trip with the FF. <3 It was really short and the place wasn’t that amazing, but honestly, all that was important was the company! :)

We took a 2 hour long ferry ride to get there, so naturally all of us fell asleep! And did I mention we almost missed the ferry? haha we were at the duty free shop getting Baileys to, I quote Vebs, “quench our thirst”. We only started to panic when we heard the lady over the P.A system announcing our names one by one to board the ferry! :/

That guy behind us looks creepy… hahaha but anyway, once we reached the ferry terminal, we hopped onto a bus to take us to our resort. I must say, the way the Bintan person in charge did things was seriously disorganised!! She didn’t even count how many people there were on the bus :/

This is what Vebs and I decided to do while waiting for the bus :) Why waste time right? haha so we finally got on the bus and arrived at Bintan Agro Beach Resort.

The swimming pool! haha You can actually spot our room from here. It’s the second door from the right on the first floor! Pretty convenient huh? We went to the beach after checking in and had egg mayo sandwich for lunch. The egg mayo Vebs prepared was kinda off colour… hahaha but we all still ate it nonetheless.

Vebs and I insisted that this was the entrance to our magicland, where unicorns, princesses and pegasus roam. So after exploring the beach, we went back to our hotel to swim! :)

As all 5 of us stayed in one room, we only had one toilet. :( So we had to take turns to bathe hahaha. The rest of us stayed in the pool waiting. We started to get really pathetic when the late afternoon set in and it started to get really cold. We had no choice but to wait in the freezing cold water until it was our turn to bathe hahaha. That’s what happens when you travel on budget.

After all of us had our bath, we camwhored a little in our backyard. I repeat our backyard! hahaha cool huh? Our room had a back door which led to our own little yard and garden which led to the beach!!

We went on this city tour at night to Ramayana Shopping Centre and some famous food place! :)

The rest of the night was spent playing stupid games and it got so cold at night, thankfully the Baileys and blankets kept us warm :) The next day, we went to karaoke at the Sun Moon lounge! It was really really fun! hahaha

The happy us on the way home before the puking started and sea sickness set in. hahaha we were still greedily eating all of our remaining food before that. :/

So anyway, we arrived in Singapore at around 8pm? The boat ride was SO long!! 2 and a half hours I think? Plus it was delayed cos of the thunderstorm :( I was really worried we wouldn’t have made it back safely haha but we did, so thank God! :D

Can’t wait to travel with these guys again! <33
